Assam registers 1093 new +ve cases on Monday, state tally rises to 25,092

July 20: On Monday, 1093 new positive cases were detected from across Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus positive patients have gone upto 25,092, out of which 7936 are active cases. On Monday, 1072 patients were discharged. Till now, 17,095 patients were discharged in Assam. Moreover, one person died due to COVID-19 in Assam, thereby taking the death tally to 58. Sharing this information, State Heath Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma in a tweet wrote,  “Alert ~ 1093 new #COVID19 ve+ patients in Assam today with 448 cases from Guwahati City. With 20000 + tests carried out today, our daily positivity rate is only 5%.”
