Silchar bags 1st & 9th position in HS Commerce & 2nd position in HS Science
শিলচরে বাণিজ্যে প্রথম ও নবম, বিজ্ঞানে দ্বিতীয়

May 25: In a spectacular performance, Ashim Sarkar  of Vivekananda Junior College has secured the 1st position in the state in commerce stream. He has secured letter marks in all the 5 subjects, which are English, Bengali, Accountancy, Economics and Business Studies. Ashim got 474 marks out of 500.

Vivekananda Jr College bagged another position in commerce. Brinda Roy of the same college stood 9th and also got 5 letters in English, Bengali, Accountancy, Economics and Business Studies. Brinda got 455 marks

Again, Harsh Golchha of Karimganj Junior College of Science, Hailakandi has jointly secured the 7th position with two others. Harsh too has secured 6 letters in English, Alternative English, Accountancy, Economics, BUST and CMST.

In the science stream, Daisy Pathak of Silchar Government Boys HS School has bagged the 2nd position and has broken the myth that only students of private schools can fare better. Daisy has secured 6 letters in all which are English, Alternative English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Daisy scored 477 out of 500.
