Assam Police SI scam: 2 constables & a driver from Karimganj arrested

Oct. 13: The Assam Police Sub-Inspector recruitment scam case is gradually witnessing more and more arrests. On Sunday, the recently transferred SP of Karimganj, Kumar Sanjit Krishna was interrogated by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the state. Following this, 3 more arrests were made by the CID. They are 2 police constables and a driver from Karimganj, who carried the question papers of the Sub Inspector (SI) exam from Guwahati.

Around 49 arrests have been made by Assam Police who were found to be connected with the question paper leak scam. Those arrested include 2 BJP leaders Diban Deka and Jintu Nath, owner of Trishna Global Pvt Ltd Saroj Sharma, Rubul Hazarika, Retired DIG PK Dutta among others. Several crores of money were also recovered by the police from different locations in the state.
