Assam Police & Assam Rifles arrest 2 persons, foreign made pistol & Yaba tablets seized

November 3: On the basis of secret information, a joint operation was led by Assam Police & Assam Rifles at Nilambazar in Karimganj. In the said operation, two youth were arrested. A foreign made pistol, 11 bullets and 85 packets of Yaba tablets were recovered from them.

The two arrested were identified as Bahar Uddin (27), S/O Faiyaz Uddin & Motlub Ahmed (29), S/O Mustaq Ahmed. Though they were nabbed from Nilambazar, but both of them are not local residents. Investigation is on and the police is hopeful to nab others associated in this racket.
