Assam govt sets up control room to mitigate the problems of migrant workers

April 27: In view of the resurgence of COVID-19 and subsequent imposition of certain restrictions by Government of Assam, the Labour Commissioner, Assam has setup a control room to mitigate the problems of migrant workers.

The aggrieved workers can access the control room through e-mail ID: grievance.migrant@gmail.com and Mobile No. 8099002218 with Whatsapp facility. This control room is managed by the Labour Commissionerate, Assam. Migrant workers having any grievances are requested to make use of the facility. In this connection, it was informed by S.Z. Hazarika, Labour Commissioner of Assam that his Commissionerate, Assam, will make all efforts to mitigate their grievances.
