1700 gms heroin revovered, one arrested in Mizoram border

way2barak, June 6: Based on secret information, Cachar police conducted a special operation along the Assam-Mizoram border at Dholaikhal area near Dholaikhal BOP under the jurisdiction of Dholai Police Station on 06.06.24 in the wee hours. During the operation, police team apprehended a person namely Abdul Ahat Laskar (33 yrs) Vill-Samacharan (Napetkhal), Jamalpur, PS-Dholai. During the course of proper search, police team recovered 139 nos. of saop cases containing suspected to be heroine from his possession . Later on the recovered articles were seized weighing about 1.7 kilograms . The price of the contraband items in the black market is about 8.5 crores . This consignment is suspected to be illegally transported from Saiphai, Mizoram. Further legal action is being initiated, says Numal Mahatta, SP, Cachar.
