Assam College Teachers’ Association contribute ₹10 lakh to CM Relief Fund
July 28: Assam College Teachers’ Association (ACTA), the umbrella organisation of more than 300 provincialised colleges of Assam has been always active in lending a helping hand to the government in times of crisis. ACTA has once again come forward to help those who have been the worst sufferers during the recent devastating flood in the state.
On Thursday, a delegation of ACTA led by its President Himanshu Maral and Dr Jayanta Baruah met Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and handed over a cheque of Rs.10 lakh towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. Also present on behalf of ACTA were its former President Biswajit Bhuyan, Vice President, Finance Secretary Anupam Dutta, Office Secretary Ananta Pegu among others.
During the visit, ACTA leaders also handed over more than a dozen publications done by Assam College Teachers’ Association.
