ASI of Assam Police caught red-handed while taking bribe

way2barak, Oct.11: An Assistant Sub-Inspector in Lakhimpur district of Assam was arrested by the officials of Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DirVAC) on bribery charges on Tuesday. The ASI was identified as Dambarudhar Dutta of Silonibari OP under North Lakhimpur district. As per reports, the ASI accepted bribe from the complainant for giving relief to complainant and his family in a criminal case.

Sharing this information, GP Singh, Special DGP Assam wrote on twitter, “Today, Team from the @DIR_VAC _ASSAM trapped red-handed & arrested ASI Dambarudhar Dutta of Silonibari OP under North Lakhimpur district after he accepted bribe from the complainant for giving relief to complainant and his family in a criminal case.”
