Appointment letters distributed by Himanta Biswa Sarma to 368 newly recruited college teachers
Dec. 19: In a major boost to the higher education sector in Assam, 6 new colleges in the state became functional from this year. Apart from this, Science stream was introduced in 16 more colleges. It is in this connection that State Education Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma distributed appointment letters to 368 newly recruited staff and college teachers. The programme was held at PWD Convention & Training Centre, Guwahati. The minister was accompanied by Bhabesh Kalita, state minister for education.
Taking to his twitter handle, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Big boost to Higher Education in #Assam. Six new colleges shall become functional this year, along with introduction of Science stream in 16 colleges. Towards this, pleased to have distributed appointment letters to 368 newly recruited staff in Guwahati today.”
