AUNTEA Calls for Cancellation of MoU and Boycott of Bangladeshi Goods
চুক্তি বাতিল সহ বাংলাদেশি পণ্য বয়কটের ডাক আনটিয়ার

ওয়ে টু বরাক, ২৩ ডিসেম্বর : বাংলাদেশে সংখ্যালঘু সম্প্রদায়ের উপর পাশবিক নির্যাতন, মন্দির ধ্বংস, বাড়িঘর জ্বালিয়ে দেওয়া ও নিরীহ মানুষের হত্যার প্রতিবাদে সরব হলেন আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষাকর্মীরা। মঙ্গলবার দুপুরে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় অশিক্ষক কর্মচারী সংস্থার (আনটিয়া) উদ্যোগে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের প্রশাসনিক ভবনের সামনে এক প্রতিবাদ কর্মসূচির আয়োজন করা হয়।

এই প্রতিবাদ কর্মসূচিতে বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে বিভিন্ন বক্তা বাংলাদেশের সাম্প্রতিক বর্বরোচিত ঘটনার প্রতিবাদে গর্জে ওঠেন। বক্তারা উদ্বেগ প্রকাশ করে বলেন, বাংলাদেশে হিন্দুদের উপর আক্রমণের চরম সীমা পেরিয়ে গেছে। সংখ্যালঘুদের জীবন-সম্পত্তি রক্ষায় সম্পূর্ণ ব্যর্থ হয়েছে প্রশাসন। ভারতের সামরিক শক্তিবলে স্বাধীনতা অর্জনকারী বাংলাদেশের এমন স্পর্ধা কোনও ভাবেই বরদাস্ত নয়। এবার উপযুক্ত জবাব দিতে হবে।

বক্তারা বাংলাদেশের সঙ্গে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের সব চুক্তি বাতিল করা সহ বাংলাদেশি পণ্য বয়কটের আহ্বান জানান। সেইসঙ্গে স্মারকলিপি প্রদানের মাধ্যমে কেন্দ্র সরকারের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করে বাংলাদেশের ওপর চাপ সৃষ্টি করারও জোরালো দাবি জানান। শিক্ষাকর্মীদের এই প্রতিবাদ কর্মসূচিতে অংশ নেন ভারপ্রাপ্ত উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক অশোক কুমার সেনও। তিনি বাংলাদেশে সংঘটিত ন্যাক্কারজনক ঘটনার তীব্র নিন্দা জানান।

দেবর্ষি দে’র পরিচালনায় আয়োজিত এই প্রতিবাদ কর্মসূচিতে অন্যদের মধ্যে বক্তব্য রাখেন ভারপ্রাপ্ত নিবন্ধক মনোজ কুমার দে, আনটিয়ার ভারপ্রাপ্ত সভাপতি লালন প্রসাদ যাদব, ভারপ্রাপ্ত সাধারণ সম্পাদক কিংকর পুরকায়স্থ, প্রাক্তন সভাপতি সাগ্নিক চৌধুরী, ড. পুলক ধর, বিশ্বজিৎ দাস, পৃথ্বীরাজ গোয়ালা, অংশুমান দত্ত, কুতুব উদ্দিন আনসারি, অরিজিৎ গোস্বামী, চন্দ্রকান্ত দাস, মিলিরানি পাল প্রমুখ।

Way2barak, December 23 : Non-teaching staff of Assam University staged a protest on Tuesday condemning the alleged brutal atrocities against minority communities in Bangladesh, including attacks on temples, arson of homes, and the killing of innocent civilians. The protest was organised by the Assam University Non-Teaching Employees’ Association (ANTEUA) in front of the university’s administrative building.

Addressing the gathering, speakers strongly denounced the recent incidents in Bangladesh and expressed grave concern over what they described as escalating attacks on Hindus. They alleged that the administration in Bangladesh has failed to protect the lives and property of minorities. Referring to Bangladesh’s history of independence with India’s military support, the speakers said such actions were unacceptable and demanded a firm response.

The speakers called for the cancellation of all agreements between Assam University and Bangladesh, along with a complete boycott of Bangladeshi products. They also demanded that the Central Government be urged, through a memorandum, to exert pressure on Bangladesh over the issue. The protest programme was attended by Assam University Vice-Chancellor (In-Charge) Prof. Ashok Kumar Sen, who strongly condemned the reported incidents and expressed solidarity with the protesters.

The programme was conducted by Debarshi Dey. Among those who addressed the gathering were In-Charge Registrar Manoj Kumar De, ANTEUA In-Charge President Lalan Prasad Yadav, In-Charge General Secretary Kingkar Purkayastha, former President Sagnik Choudhury, Dr. Pulak Dhar, Biswajit Das, Prithviraj Goala, Anshuman Dutta, Kutub Uddin Ansari, Arijit Goswami, Chandrakanta Das, Milirani Paul, and others.
