Another milestone: Cachar offers tele-consultation services to 1.25 lakh Covid patients

July 19: Cachar achieved the milestone of offering 1.25 lakh tele-consultation services to the COVID-19 patients. With a view to support the COVID patients staying at home, the tele-consultation services were launched in the district. Nine teams across the district comprising of doctors and paramedics offered tele-consultation services primarily to the Covid-19 patients who were undergoing home isolation in different parts of the Cachar.

It needs mention here that in pursuance of the office order by the Deputy Commissioner Cachar, the Joint Director of Health Services, Cachar issued a notification on 28 April, following which tele consultation services was launched in Cachar District. From, 28 April to 19 July, a total of 1,27,743 patients got benefit of this service. The Covid patients were asked to call the following numbers for counselling:
