Another 408 +ve cases detected in Assam, day’s total 548

July 1: Wednesday also seemed to be a day of worry for Assam as the state recorded a total of 548 number of coronavirus cases. On Wednesday morning, 140 positive cases were detected in the state. In the night, another 408 new cases were reported from across Assam.  With this, the state tally has gone upto 8955. At present, there are 3109 active cases in the state. Guwahati recorded 378 COVID-19 positive cases on Wednesday.

Sharing this information, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, “Alert ~ 408 new #COVID19+ cases detected today In last 24 hours 378 cases reported from Guwahati City. We request all to follow lockdown rules sincerely.”
