Amid rise of Covid cases, Assam govt issues additional guidelines for educational institutions

April 22: As the number of coronavirus cases are increasing day by day, Assam Government on 22 April, 2021 issued additional guidelines for the districts where active COVID cases have touched the 100 mark. These additional guidelines shall come into force with immediate effect. In a notification issued by the state government on Thursday, it was specified that:

• In Coaching Institutions, 50 % attendance has to be maintained. Online classes should also be made available for the students wherever necessary.
• Female Teaching and non-Teaching staff who are pregnant or having children of 5 years or below shall be exempted from attending Educational Institutions and Coaching Institutions.
• In respect of Teaching and non-Teaching staff. the head of the Educational Institutions/ Coaching Institutions may arrange for their attendance maintaining all COVID Protocols.
