Ambicapatty cluster shines bright at community festival

way2barak, 2 January: The vibrant spirit of unity and cultural celebration took center stage as the Community Festival 2024 unfolded in the Ambicapatty Cluster under the Silchar Sadar Education Block. Hosted at the Manmohan Mazumdar Girls’ High School, the event was graced by the esteemed presence of Mridul Yadav,  District Commissioner of Cachar, as the Chief Guest.

The festival brought together students, teachers, and alumni from nine schools in the cluster, fostering a harmonious blend of learning and cultural exchange. The proceedings commenced with a ceremonial welcome for the distinguished guests, who were adorned with traditional scarves and presented with mementos as tokens of appreciation. DC Yadav inaugurated the festival by lighting the ceremonial lamp, followed by the unveiling of an exhibition showcasing innovative learning materials and science projects.
In his keynote address, DC Mridul Yadav commended the initiative by Samagra Shiksha, emphasizing its pivotal role in nurturing cultural talents and leadership qualities among young learners. He lauded the festival as a platform for children to express their creativity while strengthening their connection to diverse cultural roots.
The cultural segment of the festival was a vivid tapestry of performances, including traditional dances, songs, and musical dramas representing various communities. A particularly poignant highlight was a musical drama on child abuse presented by members of the Nibedita Women’s Organisation, leaving a profound impact on the audience.
As the event drew to a close, participants were awarded certificates in recognition of their contributions, while the school principals were honored with scarves and mementos as symbols of gratitude. CRC, Dipayan Paul delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing appreciation for the collective efforts that made the event a resounding success.
The Community Festival 2024 concluded on a high note with the rendition of the national anthem, leaving behind cherished memories of unity, culture, and shared purpose.
