AGM of AUTA held online; Devasish Sengupta becomes President & Amalendu Chakraborty GS

May 12: The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Assam University Teachers’ Association (AUTA) was held online on Tuesday. At the outset, the General Secretary placed the annual report which was unanimously accepted. It was then an electoral college was composed of three teachers led by Prof Joyati Bhattacharjee. Nominations were sought for the posts of President, Vice President, General Secretary, two Joint Secretaries, Treasurer and Auditor.

The following office bearers of AUTA were unanimously elected for the year 2021-2022

  • President: Dr. Devasish Sengupta
  • Vice President: Dr. Mahuya Sengupta
  • General Secretary: Dr. Amalendu Chakraborty
  • Joint Secretary: Dr. Barunjyoti Choudhury
  • Joint Secretary: Dr. Mrityunjay Singh
  • Treasurer: Bishwa Ranjan Roy.
