ফের শিলচরে আত্মহত্যা
Again an incident of suicide at Silchar

১০ ফেব্রুয়ারি : ফের শহরে একটি আত্মহত্যার ঘটনা ঘটেছে। শিলচর শহরের আশ্রম রোডের বিশফুটি এলাকা থেকে এক ব্যক্তির ঝুলন্ত মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করেছে পুলিশ। পুলিশসূত্রে জানা গেছে, মৃত ব্যক্তি এলাকারই জনৈক প্রাণেশ দাস। তাঁর বয়স আনুমানিক ৬০ বছর।

রবিবার সকালে স্থানীয় জনগণ বাড়ির কাছেই একটি গাছের ডালে ওই ব্যক্তির ঝুলন্ত মৃতদেহ দেখতে পান। সঙ্গে সঙ্গে এলাকাবাসী পুলিশে খবর দেন। পুলিশ এসে মৃতদেহটি উদ্ধার করে ময়নাতদন্তের জন্য শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে পাঠায়।

তবে কী কারণে তিনি আত্মহত্যা করেছেন, সে বিষয়ে পুলিশ এখনই কিছু বলতে পারছে না। এটি খুন না আত্মহত্যা, সে ব্যাপারেও পুলিশ এখনও নিশ্চিত হতে পারেনি। তবে তদন্ত জারি রয়েছে।

February 10: Once again an incident of suicide takes place at Silchar. Police has recovered a dead body of a person from Bishfuti area of Ashram Road, Silchar. The deceased person had hanged himself. Police sources revealed that the name of the deceased is Pranesh Das. His age is around 60 years.

On Sunday morning, people of the locality saw the dead body of the person hanging in a tree. Police recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem at Silchar Medical College and Hospital.

Police, however, is not sure about the exact reason of suicide. Police is also not sure whether it is an incident of suicide or murder. However, investigation is on to discern the exact cause of death.
