After surgery deptt, corona steps in at orthopedics deptt of SMCH

১০ জুলাই: শল্য চিকিৎসা বিভাগের পর এ বার করোনা হানা দিল শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালের অস্থিরোগ বিভাগে৷ কলেজের উপাধ্যক্ষ ডা. ভাস্কর গুপ্ত জানান, দুই বিভাগে দুইজন রোগীর করোনা সংক্রমণ নিশ্চিত হয়েছে৷ এর দরুন দুই বিভাগেরই সংশ্লিষ্ট দুটি বিভাগকে কন্টেনমেন্ট জোন হিসাবে ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে৷ চিকিৎসাধীন সমস্ত রোগীকে ওইসব ওয়ার্ডেই কোয়রান্টিন করা হয়েছে৷ সকলের লালারসের নমুনা পরীক্ষা করে দেখা হবে৷ দুই রোগীর সংস্পর্শে আসা মোট ২০ জন ডাক্তার-স্বাস্থ্যকর্মীকে প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক কোয়রান্টিনে পাঠানো হয়েছে বলেও জানান তিনি৷

July 10: Gradually novel coronavirus is setting its footstep in new areas. After Surgery Department, COVID-19 has set it’s step in the Orthopedics Department of Silchar Medical College & Hospital. Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH during the routine press briefing on Friday informed that 2 patients from these 2 departments were tested COVID-19 positive. As such, the two departments were declared as containment zones. All under treatment patients in these two departments were put under quarantine over there only. The swab samples of all these patients will be collected soon. A total of 20 doctors and nurses who came into contact with the 2 positive patients were sent for quarantine.
