ABVP protests against alleged attack on its activists in Tripura
Nov.1: ABVP nationwide strongly opposed the deadly attack by ‘jihadi fanatics’ on unarmed activists engaged in membership drive of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in Kailashahar, Tripura on last Friday and demanded to arrest all the culprits involved in the attack. This was stated in a press release issued by Bishal Nath, Office Secretary of ABVP, Silchar Unit on Sunday.
“During the membership drive at R.K.I School in Kailashahar, Tripura, Sibaji Sengupta, Kailashahar Nagar-Branch Minister of ABVP was stabbed to death by people with jihadi mindset. The student community across the country is outraged by this jihadist violence and strongly condemns this attack and demands the earliest arrest and strict punishment of all the culprits including Mohammed Nazmul Islam, the culprit in the incident,” stated ABVP in its press release.
ABVP Silchar Unit also raised its voice for the interests of the students, society and the nation against the anti-national elements who diligently carry out such cowardly acts to intimidate the workers engaged in the service of the country. Students of various colleges and institutions of Silchar also took part in this protest and condemned the indignant incident.
