1 more Covid-19 patient die at Silchar Medical College in last 24 hours
53 patients in ICU, 13 in ventilator support & 77 put under oxygen at SMCH
July 7: The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. However, the last 24 hours (5 PM on 6 July to 5 PM on 7 July) witnessed the death of 01 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). His detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board.This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Tuesday evening. The deceased from cachar district was identified as:
- Sunahar Ali (65) from Paikhan, Katigorah in Cachar district was admitted at SMCH on 1 July. The patient, however, passed away at 7.15 PM on 6 July.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 7 July, there were 102 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 48 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 54 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 10 patients were put under ventilator support and 70 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 09 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 15 of them were discharged.
