2nd dose of Covaxin for 45 plus to be given in Cachar from 12 June

June 11: The shortage of Covaxin has become a major cause of concern for many in Cachar district as their date for the 2nd dose is due. Putting an end to the anxiety of those in the age group of 45 plus, Additional Chief Medical & Health Officer, Cachar in a press release on 11 May informed that the 2nd dose of Covaxin wil be administered to those in the age group 45 plus from 12 June, 2021.

However, the Additional Chief Medical & Health Officer, Cachar further informed that only those people (age 45+) who will get text message in their registered mobile number from Cachar Central Server will be allowed to take the 2nd dose of Covaxin. The district health department further stated, “The criteria for selection of beneficiaries for 2nd dose of Covaxin for 45+ will be on the basis of maximum time lapsed from the date of vaccination of 1st dose.”
