50 tests Covid +ve in Hailakandi on Friday, 134 discharged, 1 death registered
The district has altogether 934 active COVID-19 cases
June 11: Hailakandi registered 50 new COVID-19 cases on Friday. Of the 50 positive cases detected on Friday, 46 have been found positive under Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) and 04 found positive in RT-PCR test. The district has altogether 934 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 2,326 RAT tests and 296 RT-PCR tests were done. 134 patients were discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 7,041. As of now, a total of 2,699 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that 53 persons were found positive in Hailakandi on Thursday.
As of now, in the 59,378 persons have received the 1st dose of the vaccine (irrespective of age), whereas, 17,159 have been administered the 2nd dose in Hailakandi district.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 10 June to 5 PM on 11 June) witnessed demise of 03 Covid-19 positive patients at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. Out of the 3 deceased, 02 are from Cachar, whereas 01 belongs to Hailakandi.
The deceased from Hailakandi was identified as Hira Majumdar (32) from Lakhinagar Part 2 (Hailakandi district) who got admitted at SMCH on 2 June. The patient died at 2.30 PM on 11 June.
