3,245 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Sunday, 5,690 discharged & 55 deaths registered
There are 52,448 active cases in Assam
May 30: On Sunday, out of 71,598 tests, 3,245 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 4,06,868. The positivity rate in the state is 4.53 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 422 positive cases during the day. Further, on Sunday, 55 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 3,300. The recovery rate is 85.97%.
It needs mention here that on Friday, 5,613 persons tested positive in Assam and 77 deaths were registered.
On Sunday, 5,690 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 3,49,773 patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 85.97 percent. At present, there are 52,448 active cases in the state.

Further, during the day, 55 patients died in Assam due to COVID-19. Out of the 55 deceased, 07 are from Kamrup Metro; 06 each from Cachar & Nagaon; 05 from Tinsukia; 04 Kamrup Rural; 03 each from Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Dibrugarh & Jorhat; 02 each from Dhubri, Hailakandi, Kokhrajhar & Lakhimpur; 01 each from Biswanath, Charaideo, Dima Hasao, Goalpara, Golaghat, Sonitpur & Karimganj. The death tally of the state now stands at 3,300.
