All offline exams of Assam Univ & its affiliated colleges scheduled in May postponed

May 4: In pursuance of DO No. Secy(HE)/ MoE/2021 dtd. 3rd May, 2021, all offline examinations of Assam University & its affiliated colleges scheduled in month of May, 2021 are hereby postponed. This was stated in a notification issued by Dr. S. Dutta Roy, Controller of Examinations, Assam university, Silchar on 4 May.

It needs mention here that keeping the current pandemic situation in mind, Secretary, Higher Education, Government of India, Amit Khare on 3 May has urged the Higher Education Institutions to postpone all offline examinations scheduled in the month of May, 2021. This was tweeted by the Ministry of Education on Monday.

Issuing an order to this effect on 3 May, it was stated that due to second wave of Covid-19. Ministry of Education urged for the postponement of all offline examinations scheduled in the month of May, 2021. In a letter addressed to all the heads of centrally funded institutions, Secretary: Higher Education Amit Khare has urged the Institutions to postpone all offline examinations scheduled in the month of May, 2021. The Online examinations, etc. may, however, continue. The letter also stated that the decision will be reviewed in the first week of June:2021.
