245 tests COVID-19 +ve in Assam on Thursday, 1 death registered

April 8: On Thursday, out of 22,888 tests, 245 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 2,19,272. The positivity rate in the state is 1.07 percent. At present, there are 1,023 active cases in the state. This is for the 1st time in the year that the active COVID cases has crossed the thousand mark in the state.

On Thursday, 68 patients were discharged in Assam. With this, a total of 2,15,790, patients got cured and were subsequently discharged from various hospitals and Covid Care centres across the state. This was confirmed in a tweet by NHM, Assam. The recovery rate in the state is 98.41%.

Further, during the day, 01 more patient died in Assam due to COVID-19. The death tally of the state now stands at 1,112.
