Scooty distributed, new Circle Office inaugurated, foundation stone laid for ICU facility in Hailakandi

Feb.26: Deputy Commissioner, Hailakandi, Megh Nidhi Dahal distributed ceremonially scooty to jeevika sakhis in presence of MLA, Anwar Hussain Laskar, District Development Commissioner, RK Laskar, CEO, Hailakandi Zilla Parishad, Joydeep Shukla, DPM, ASRLM, Soumitra Kumar Dey and other dignitaries.

At a function held at Deputy Commissioner’s Office here on Friday, altogether 83 scooty have been allotted to jeevan sakhis under the Assam State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ASRLM) for their easy mobility to different parts of the district. Besides, minimising the communication hurdles, the jeevan sakhis would also be able to improve the service delivery system by reaching out to the people involved in SHG movement under ASRLM.

At the same venue, construction of a new building of Circle Office at Lala was virtually inaugurated by Chief Minister, Sarbananda Sonowal in the presence of DC, Dahal and other dignitaries. Chief Minister Sonowal also virtually laid the foundation stone of ICU at SK Roy Civil Hospital under the Assam Critical Care Project 2020. Foundation stones for upgradation of 24 existing hospitals, including setting up of ICUs for treatment of critically ill patients were laid by the Chief Minister.
