11 organisations hoists national flag together during Republic Day in Silchar

Jan. 26: On the occasion of the 72nd Republic Day, eleven organisations came forward and hoisted the tricolour at India Club Play Ground in Silchar. Exhibiting a sense of unity, these socio-cultural organisations came forward to spread the message of brotherhood on this day. On behalf all the organisations, the senior most member cum the General Secretary of Central Committee of Barak Valley Voluntary Blood Donors Forum, Karunamay Paul hoisted the National Flag.

The 11 organisations who took part in the celebration of the Republic Day were- Lions Club of Silchar Greater, Silchar Care, Silchar Lioness, Leo Club of Silchar Greater, All Medical Sales People Association, Barak Valley Voluntary Blood Donors Forum, Esho Boli, International Human Rights Council, Shibam Multimedia Production, Shopnouran and Dream Celebration.

Members representing the participating organisations also spoke about the significance of the day. Those who spoke during the day were Mithun Roy, Lion Shubhra Bhattacharjee, Lion Anoop Dutta, Lion Tapash Saha, Leo Debosmita Biswas, Bubu Choudhury, Shibam Das ,Subhajit Das, Sonali Banik, Tapash Hore and Arup Sunder Dutta. The programme was compered by Sabyasachee Rudra Gupta, who is associated with all these eleven organisations. The programme came to an end with offering of floral tribute at the portrait of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
