1216 patients discharged in Assam including 61 in Barak Valley on Tuesday

July 28: On Tuesday, 1216 patients were discharged from various hospitals across Assam. With this, till now, 26,618 patients got cured in Assam and were subsequently discharged, out of which, 8238 are active cases. The recovery rate in Assam is 76.2 percent.

Further, 1371 fresh cases were also reported during the day, taking the state tally to 34,947. Another two COVID-19 patients died on Tuesday. Till now, 88 persons succumbed to COVID-19 infection in the state. In a tweet, State Health Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Discharge Alert– 1216 patients have been discharged today. Yet another day, we have more than 1000 recovered patients.We shall overcome.”
