Earthquake measuring 4.1 jolts Karimganj

July 16: Earthquake tremors measuring 4.1 on the Richter Scale hit Assam on Thursday. As per the National Center for Seismology, the tremors were felt in Karimganj at 7:57 am.

The epicentre of the earthquake was 30 km North East of Dharmanagar and 18 km depth, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS). However, there were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property.
