Leo Club of Silchar celebrates Doctor’s Day maintaining COVID protocol

July 1: Along with rest of the country, Leo Club of Silchar under the aegis of its parent club, Lions Club of Silchar Lioness celebrated National Doctor’s Day on Wednesday. However, this year due to the prevelance of the coronavirus pandemic, the day could not be celebrated like the previous years.

The club members, under the leadership of Leo Arindam Goala gathered in a small number to felicitate Mr. Chetan Baid, CA, who is an ex-leo member as well, along with the two very energetic doctors, Leo Dr. Paramita Paul and Leo Dr. Paramita Chakraborty.

This year’s President, Secretary and Treasurer of Leo Club of Silchar is Leo Arindam Goala, Leo Ananya Choudhury and Leo Mou Deb respectively. The club advisor is Lion Nandini Purkayastha. Also, to mark the beginning of their new tenure, they had cut a cake at Leo Dr. Paramita Chakraborty’s place. This was informed in a press release issued by Leo Shrestha Paul, PRO of Leo Club of Silchar.

It needs mention here that Leo Club of Silchar had been arranging free health camps, but amidst this pandemic this is not possible, yet the club focuses on serving the community as much as possible

Leo Club of Silchar started its journey on 4th Feb 2018, under the Parent club, Lions Club of Silchar Lioness. It is their 4th tenure of serving the community since its inception.
