নয়া অ্যাপ ! কোয়ারেন্টাইন থেকে বেরোলেই খবর পাবে প্রশাসন
New App! Govt to get instant message if quarantine norms violated

৬ জুন : কোভিড-১৯ মোকাবিলায় সংক্রমণ যাতে ছড়িয়ে না পড়ে সেজন্য সরকার কোয়ারেন্টাইনের ব্যবস্থা করেছে। কিন্তু একাংশ লোক কোয়ারেন্টাইনের নির্দেশিকা না মেনে নিজেদের খেয়ালখুশিমতো বেরিয়ে যাচ্ছেন। কোয়ারেন্টাইনে থাকা নিয়ম ভঙ্গকারীদের প্রতিহত করতে সরকার এ বার নতুন ব্যবস্থা হাতে নিয়েছে। শনিবার এ সংক্রান্ত একটি নতুন অ্যাপ চালু করেছেন রাজ্যের স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী হিমন্তবিশ্ব শর্মা।

বিশেষ করে যারা হোম কোয়ারেন্টাইনে থাকবেন তাদের মোবাইলে এই অ্যাপ থাকাটা বাধ্যতামূলক। এই অ্যাপের মাধ্যমে ঘরের বাইরে ১৫০ মিটার দূর গেলেই খবর পাবে প্রশাসন। কোভিড সুরক্ষা অ্যাপের সহায়তায় ওই ব্যক্তির অবস্থান জানতে পারবে সরকার। ফলে তাকে কোয়ারেন্টাইনে ফিরিয়ে আনা হবে।

June 6: In order to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the community, government has adopted the concept of quarantine facility. However, a section of the people are found to violate the quarantine norms and move out as per their whims and fancies. In order to stop such violators, state government has adopted a new unique measure. On Saturday, State Health Department launched a new app in this connection.

Assam Health Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma launched this app named ‘Covid Suraksha App’ at the Zonal Screening Centre for returnees from outside Assam at the Siu-Ka-Pha Samanway Kshetra at Moubandha in Jorhat. Persons, who are kept under home quarantine, will have to download the app. If a home-quarantined person comes out of his or her house and goes beyond 150 metres from his home, then immediately an alert will go to the district administration indicating violation of the geo-fence.

The geofencing, which is a location-based service in which an an app developed by NIC, Assam using cellular data will trigger an alert when a mobile device exits the virtual boundary set up around its registered geographical location. Apart from setting up the virtual geofence, the app will send a reminder every one hour from 9 am to 5 pm to the quarantined person to upload his selfie, which with the geo tag captured during registration will confirm whether the person is still inside the defined geofence.
