Keerthi Jalli takes charge from Barnali Sharma as new DC of Cachar

May 9: Keerthi Jalli, IAS took over charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Cachar district on Saturday. On the basis of an order issued to this effect by Personnel (A) Department, Government of Assam on Friday, Keerthi Jalli took over as Deputy Commissioner Hailakandi from Barnali Sharma who has been transferred and posted as Director, Employment & Craftsmen training, Assam.

Earlier, during the day, Keerthi Jalli who was the Deputy Commissioner of Hailakandi, handed over charge to Megha Nidhi Dahal. He was the Staff Officer to Chief Secretary, Assam and has been transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner of Hailakandi.

In this connection, a meeting was also held in the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Cachar during which was attended by the staff of the office to bid farewell to Barnali Sharma. Speaking during the occasion, outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Barnali Sharma expressed her thanks to various departments for their dedicated and committed service in the pandemic situation. She also thanked the Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations, Barak Zone for dedicated service in dissemination of information related to the COVID-19 among the people and the media. Speaking during the occasion, the new Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli sought the cooperation of all the Department in the fight against corona virus.

Also present during the occasion were District Development Commissioner, Cachar, Jessica Lalsim, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sumit Sattavan, Rajib Roy, A.R Majumder, Loiya Rongpipi, Assistant Commissioner , Abhilash Barnawal, Maria Tanim, Navanita Hazarika, all the circle of the Cachar District, District Planning Officer Ruli Doulagaphu and all the staff of District Administration Cachar.
