Another COVID-19 positive case in Meghalaya

May 9: Another COVID-19 positive case was detected in Meghalaya on Saturday. This patient had connection with the state’s 1st corona patient Dr. John Sailo Rynthathing, who succumbed to the virus. This would take the total tally of the state to 13, but at present with this new patient, the total number of active cases in Meghalaya stands at 2.

Unfortunately we have another positive case in Shillong. It’s a person working in the same house. As a precaution health department was retesting all the primary contacts and in the process we found this positive case. The person is safe and healthy and showing no symptoms.

Taking to his twitter handle, Conrad Sangma, Chief Minister of Meghalaya wrote, “Unfortunately we have another positive case in Shillong. It’s a person working in the same house.
