SBI goes to Borkhola with mobile ATM at the initiative of MP Rajdeep Roy

April 18: The common people are facing a number of difficulties during nationwide lockdown. On the other hand, many are also violating the norms of lockdown. In this regard, Silchar MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy urged upon all to obey lockdown and maintain social distancing. On Thursday, MP Roy went to Borkhala and interacted with the people there. There he noticed a rush in the bank counters for withdrawal of money, which was in sharp violation of the norms of social distancing.

Dr. Rajdeep Roy brought this issue to the notice of the General Manager of State Bank of India (SBI). He urged upon them to send mobile ATM vans at Borkhola to reduce the rush and help people to maintain distance. Finally, the efforts of the MP bore fruits when SBI sent mobile ATM vans over there. The people of Borkhola also expressed satisfaction at the pro-active steps adopted by MP Roy.
