Alumni Association of Silchar Collegiate School distribute relief among 130 persons
April 17: The outbreak of coronavirus has compelled the government to declare nationwide lockdown till 3 May, 2020. This has rendered a major section of the populace jobless, especially the daily wage earners. Apart from the government, many individuals, NGOs, organisations and business establishments have come forward to help those who are in need at this hour of crisis. On Friday, the Alumni Association of Silchar collegiate School set on a venture to help people with food stuff.
The members of the Alumni Association distributed rice, dal, potato, mustard oil and soyabean to around 130 persons. They distributed the relief materials in the campus of Silchar Collegiate School. Needy people from various parts of Silchar collected the relief materials. While distributing the aid, the principle of social distancing was maintained.
Present during the relief distribution were Tapan Das, Nabina Mazumder, Biswajit paul, Deepjyoti Roy, Sanjeev Roy, Ankit Pacacia, Priom Choudhury, Subrajit Sen, Sanku Deb, Pallab Choudhury among others.
