Silchar Goldighi Mall to remain closed during “Janata Curfew”

March 20: Responding to the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the merchants of Silchar Goldighi Mall have decided to keep close all shops and business establishment inside the Mall. This was decided in a meeting held in the Mall premises on Friday.

The decision to keep the Mall closed was taken as the merchants pledged to break the chain of the deadly coronavirus and thereby prevent the further spread of coronavirus in the country.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday made a fervent appeal to all Indians to stay indoors as much as possible to avoid getting infected by coronavirus, saying the world has never seen a danger as grave as this. He called for ‘Janata Curfew’ on 22 March, 2020 from 7 AM to 9 PM, saying no citizen, barring those in essential services, should get out of house.
