Modi rally-bound vehicle meets with accident in Kokrajhar, 16 injured

February 7: A group of 20 boys was travelling in a Tata Sumo to attend the rally of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kokrajhar. The vehicle, however, lost control and rammed into a wall. The accident took place near Borbil under Manikpur Police Station along the NH-31. In the accident, 16 boys sustained severe injuries. The injured were rushed to the local hospital.

To encourage mass participation in the rally of PM Modi, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal’s government has announced a public holiday in the four districts of the BTAD – Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri.
