Detonators, gelatin sticks, drugs seized by Cachar Police, 1 arrested

January 09: On the basis of secret information, a vehicle bearing registration no. MZ 01H 1616 coming from Bagha Bazar toward Mizoram carrying illegal drugs and other suspected articles was detained by the cops near Lailapur. On Wednesday at about 9 PM, Sub Inspector, Bhargav Borbora, OC Dholai Police Station along with forces led the operation.

On searching the vehicle, the police recovered 2 gelatin sticks, 1 non-electric detonator, 3 fuse, 6 vials with suspected heroine, 5 nos of syringes used for injecting drugs,300 nos of small empty plastic containers used for selling of illegal drugs and one mobile phone. Police apprehended one person namely Banjamin Laskar S/O. Lutfar Rahman Laskar, Vill. Bongran, Baghabazar. PS. Dholai, Dist.Cachar. One Sumin Laskar of Vill. Jamalpur managed to fled away.

In this regard one case was being registered at Dholai PS vide Dholai PS Case No 11/20. U/S. 22( a) NDPS ACT. R/W. Sec. 4/5 ES Act. The arrested person was sent to judicial custody.
