শিলচরে যাত্রীনিবাস থেকে রোগী নিখোঁজ

শিলচরে রামঠাকুর আশ্রমের যাত্রীনিবাস থেকে নিখোঁজ হয়ে গেলেন ৫৮ বছর বয়সী এক রোগী। কিছুদিন আগে চিকিতসার জন্য শিলচরে আসেন ত্রিপুরা রাজ্যের ধর্মনগর হসপিটাল রোডের বাসিন্দা নিরঞ্জন দাস। কয়েক মাস আগে তিনি সমাজ কল্যাণ বিভাগ থেকে অবসর নেন। থাইরয়েডের সমস্যায় ভুগে শিলচরে এসেছিলেন ডাক্তারের পরামর্শ নিতে। সঙ্গে আসেন স্ত্রী-কন্যা। স্ত্রী দেবশ্রী দাস বলেন, কাল বিকেলে  নিরঞ্জনবাবুকে যাত্রীনিবাসে রেখে তাঁরা মা-মেয়ে বেরিয়েছিলেন বিভিন্ন পরীক্ষা-নিরীক্ষার রিপোর্ট সংগ্রহ করতে। কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যেই ফিরে আসেন তাঁরা। এরই মধ্যে নিরঞ্জনবাবু যাত্রীনিবাস থেকে বেরিয়ে যান। তাঁর স্মৃতিশক্তিরও কিছুটা সমস্যা রয়েছে বলে দেবশ্রীদেবী জানান। সেজন্যই তাঁরা বেশি উদ্বেগে। আজ সকালে তাঁরা রাঙ্গিরখাড়ি ফাঁড়িতে নিখোঁজ সংক্রান্ত এজাহার দেন। কিন্তু ২৪ ঘণ্টাতেও তাঁর হদিশ মেলেনি।

A 58 year old patient disappeared from the guest house of Ramthakur Ashram, Silchar. A few days ago, Niranjan Das, a resident of Hospital Road, Dharmanagar (Tripura) came to Silchar for treatment. He was a thyroid patient and came over here for consultation with physicians. He came along with his wife and daughter. Both of them went to collect diagnostic reports of Niranjan Das leaving him in the guest house of Ramthakur Ashman. However, when they returned back, they saw that Niranjan was missing.

Speaking to our correspondent, his wife Debashree Das said that her husband also suffered from problems of memory loss. As such, they lodged a FIR at Rangirkhari Police Outpost. But since then 24 hours have elapsed but Niranjan Das is still untraceable. Das was an employee with the Social Welfare Department of Tripura and retired from service a few months ago.
