Husband murdered: Wife Arrested

স্বামী খুনের অভিযোগে  ধরা পড়লেন ২৬ বছর বয়সী মহিলা। ঘটনাটি ঘটেছে করিমগঞ্জ জেলার রামকৃষ্ণনগরের বিলবাড়ি এলাকায়। কাল রাত সাড়ে ১১টা নাগাদ ঘুমের মধ্যে কে বা কারা ব্যবসায়ী হারিছ আলির ওপর উপর্যূপরি কোপ বসায়। হাসপাতালে নিয়ে গেলে ডাক্তাররা তাকে মৃত বলে ঘোষণা করেন।

পুলিশ জানায়, এই ঘটনার পরেই তাঁর স্ত্রী মনোয়ারা বেগম ৬ বছরের শিশুকন্যাকে নিয়ে বাথরুমে লুকিয়ে থাকেন। পুলিশ সেখান থেকে বের করে তাকে থানায় নিয়ে যায়। বাথরুম থেকে একটি দা-ও উদ্ধার করেছে পুলিশ। কিন্তু থানায় জিজ্ঞাসাবাদের সময় আচমকা অজ্ঞান হয়ে পড়ে অভিযুক্ত মনোয়ারা। সঙ্গে সঙ্গে পুলিশ তাকে শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে পাঠায়। সংবাদ লেখা পর্যন্ত তাঁর জ্ঞান ফেরেনি বলে জানা গিয়েছে।

এ দিকে হারিছ আলির বাবা পুলিশকে জানিয়েছেন, পুত্র-পুত্রবধূতে প্রায়ই ঝগড়া হতো। এরই জেরে মনোয়ারা তার স্বামীকে খুন করেছে।

পুলিশ জানিয়েছে, মনোয়ারা অসুস্থ বলে তদন্তের কাজ বিঘ্নিত হচ্ছে। তবু ঘটনার অন্যান্য দিক বিচার-বিশ্লেষণ করা হচ্ছে। হারিছ-মনোয়ারার ৪টি শিশুসন্তান রয়েছে বলে পারিবারিক সূত্রে জানা গিয়েছে।

A 26 years old wife was arrested on charges of killing her own husband. The incident occurred at Bilbari area of RamkrishnaNagar in district Karimganj. Yesterday night at around 11, local trader Harich Ali was attacked by some assailants with sharp weapon. On reaching hospital, he was declared dead by the doctors.

Police informed that just after the incident the wife of the deceased, Monowara Begum along with her 6 years old girl child hide inside the bathroom. After reaching the spot of crime, police took out them from the bathroom and took his wife to the police station. Police has also recovered a sharp weapon from the bathroom. However, during interrogation in the police station, Monowara Begum suddenly became unconscious. As such, she was immediately rushed to Silchar Medical College & Hospital. Till the writing of this news, the lady has not regained her senses.

On the other hand, the father of Harich Ali informed the police that frequent quarrels took place between his son and daughter-in-law. The culmination of these domestic scuffles was the murder of his son by his daughter-in-law Manowara. Speaking to newspersons, police informed that their investigation could not proceed as Monowara became unconscious. They are also investigating all other plausible angles resulting in the murder. Family sources of the deceased have revealed that the couple has got four children.
