Cachar successfully concludes 100-Day awareness campaign for Mission Shakti

way2barak, October 1: Department of Women and Child Development, Cachar, in collaboration with the District Administration, hosted the closing ceremony of the “100 Days Special Awareness Campaign cum Enrollment Drive for Mission Shakti on Tuesday .
The event, organized by Sankalp: Hub for Empowerment of Women, marked the successful conclusion of the initiative aimed at empowering women and promoting awareness of government schemes.
The campaign focused on the key components of Mission Shakti—‘Samarthya’ and ‘Sambal’—both designed to provide support and resources for women’s welfare and safety.
 As a part of closing ceremony, the promotion of ‘Sankalp’ and ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ was highlighted through coffee mugs with their respective logos imprinted, symbolizing the enduring commitment to these initiatives.
 A special compilation video showcasing the activities were also conducted by the District Hub for Empowerment of Women throughout the campaign was also presented.
In her speech, Dr. Khaleda Sultana Ahmed, Additional District Commissioner, lauded the campaign’s success in creating significant awareness about the Mission Shakti components.
Dr Khaleda Sultana stated, “The dedication shown by the District Hub for Empowerment of Women and the involvement of women across Cachar in this 100-day campaign reflect our collective resolve to uplift and support the women of this region.
“We are proud of the efforts made to engage and inform, especially through innovative means such as this campaign.”
She further emphasized the importance of women’s empowerment as a pillar of societal growth.
The event was also attended by other dignitaries, including, Anjali Kumari, Assistant Commissioner cum in-charge DSWO; Dharamdas Debroy, representative of the MLA, Udharbond; Bandana Bhattacharjee, SDMO & HO, Udharbond BPHC, and all Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs) from the district.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed commitment to continuing efforts under Mission Shakti to ensure the empowerment and safety of women in Cachar.
