Himanta Biswa Sarma’s monthly stipend for girls scheme aims to curb child marriage

Way2barak, June 12 : Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has officially approved the ‘Nijut Maina’ scheme. From now on, college and university students will get money every month. Under this scheme, students enrolled in class XI will get Rs 1000 for the rest of the month, excluding two months of summer vacation. This amount will be received on the 11th day of every month till the end of the 12th class. Those studying in the undergraduate category will get Rs 1,250 and those enrolled in post-graduation and B. Ed will get Rs 2,500 per month.

Students of Junior college will also get this facility. They will receive money for 10 months. An amount of Rs.300 crore has been earmarked for ‘Nijut Moina’ Scheme. A total of 10 lakh students will get this facility in 5 years. The forms will be distributed from July 1.

The students of the private sector will not get money. Besides, married students of high school, graduate will not get rupees. But all master degree students who are married will also get the benefit of this scheme. Students and college dropouts will not get the benefit of this scheme. The daughters of ministers, MLAs and MPs will not get rupees. The student who takes a scooty will also not get the benefit of Moina Scheme. A scooty or a Moina Scheme, both programs are not available at the same time.

One can enroll in the ‘Moina’ plan only once. Financially strong families can also take this scheme if they want. An amount of Rs 300 crore will be spent on this scheme. The amount of this scheme will be Rs 1500 crore for the next 5 years. Applications will be accepted from July.

The Chief Minister said that this arrangement has been made to make the girl stand on her feet and get married late. An awareness meeting will be organized in the presence of ministers and legislators in colleges and universities in July. Even if the form is not received, the form can also be obtained from the portal.
