Goods train of length 1978 meters !

way2barak, 17 Feb  : For the first time on N.F. Railway, single Goods train of length 1978 meters was run successfully on 16th Feb. Three freight train rakes were joined together and was hauled by three Diesel locos manned by three sets of Loco Pilots at a time. The train left from New Guwahati today at 03-15 hrs arrived Tista cabin (in New Jalpaiguri and Dhupguri section) at 15-36 hrs today. The average running speed was 36 KMPH.
