53 found Covid +ve in Assam on Monday, 1 death & 2,819 active cases in the state

Way2barak, Sept.5: On Monday, out of 2,710 tests, only 53 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,44,756. The positivity rate in the state is 1.96 percent. Out of the 53 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Kamrup Metro (16), Nagaon (06), Karbi Anglong (04), Golaghat (03) and Morigaon (03).

Further, on Monday, 01 died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,671. The deceased is from Sonitpur district. The recovery rate is 98.54 percent. 83 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,33,904 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 2,819 active Covid patients in the state. It needs mention here that 11 persons were found positive in Assam on Sunday.
