320 found Covid +ve in Assam on Saturday, active cases 4,426 in the state

Aug 6: On Saturday, out of 5,829 tests, 320 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,41,502. The positivity rate in the state is 5.49 percent. Out of the 320 positive cases, the high case load districts are: Cachar (28), Dhemaji (28), Kamrup metro (28), Dibrugarh (25) and Sivasagar (21).

Further, on Saturday, none died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,666. The recovery rate is 98.30 percent. 463 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,29,054 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 4,426 active Covid patients in the state. On Friday, 305 persons were detected Covid-19 positive in Assam.
