Local holiday under N.I. Act declared in Cachar on 19 March in connection with Holi

March 16: Deputy Commissioner Keerthi Jalli has declared local holiday in the district of Cachar on 19 March in connection with Dol Jatra/ Holi Festival. In an order issued on 16 March, DC Jalli stated, “In exercise of powers conferred vide Assam Government October, 2021. the undersigned is pleased to declare a local holiday under N.I. Act on 19th March, 2022 throughout the District of Cachar in connection with the Dol Jatra/ Holi Festival.”

The other further stated, “All the State Government Offices including Revenue & Magisterial Courts, Education institutions, Financial institutions will remain closed on that day. The Holiday will not affect emergency services and all duties and Services related to various kinds of Examinations/ Written Test/ Interviews etc. ancillary services related thereto.
