2,348 found Covid +ve in Assam, 861 discharged & 5 deaths registered on Friday

Jan. 14: On Friday, out of 30,109 tests, 2,348 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,40,636. The positivity rate in the state is 7.80 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 870 positive cases during the day. Further, on Friday, 05 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Kamrup Metro (3), Bongaigaon (1) & Darrang (1). The death toll in the state stands at 6,197. The recovery rate is 96.44 percent. Also, 861 patients were discharged during the day. At present, there are 15,267 active cases in the state.

It needs mention here that on Thursday, 3,238 persons tested positive in Assam and 03 deaths were registered.
