After chaos during job fair, Assam govt to organise the next such fair in virtual mode

Dec. 26: The recently concluded job fair was allegedly marked by utter mismanagement leading to a great chaos, especially in Guwahati. It is in this backdrop that State skill, employment, and entrepreneurship minister Chandra Mohan Patowary on Saturday said that the next job fair in Assam will be held online. “A portal is being developed for the purpose. The portal will cater to employers and job seekers”, the minister added.

It needs mention here that the state government has suspended two senior officials on Friday who were held responsible for the mismanaged job fairs held across Assam on 23 December.
