1 found Covid+ve in Karimganj & none in Hailakandi on Thursday

Dec. 23: Hailakandi is gradually inching towards a Covid free district. On Thursday, Hailakandi registered no new COVID-19 cases. The district has altogether has 10 active COVID-19 cases. During the day, 781 RAT tests and 87 RT-PCR tests were done. No patient was discharged during the day. With this, the district tally of Covid cases has now reached 7,935 (both 1st & 2nd wave).

As of now, a total of 4,498 patients were discharged. It needs mention here that 03 persons were found positive in Hailakandi on Wednesday. Till date, 51 persons died due to Covid-19 in Hailakandi district.  A total of 1,769 persons were vaccinated on Wednesday.

Karimganj registered 01 fresh COVID case on Thursday. The district has currently 12 active COVID cases, while 05 patients were discharged on Thursday. 558 swab samples were collected during the day. It needs mention here that 01 person was detected positive in Karimganj on Wednesday.
