8 detected Covid +ve till 5 PM in Cachar on Friday

Dec. 10: Eight new case of COVID-19 were reported till 5 PM on Friday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 1,949 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which 08 persons were found positive, whereas till the filing of this report, RT-PCR test results were not made available. It needs mention here that 04 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Thursday.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 9 December to 5 PM on 10 December) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Friday evening.
