TET candidates met in an accident on their way to exam centre in Cachar

Oct. 31: The Assam Government conducted Teacher Eligibility Test (TET), 2021 for Lower Primary (LP) and Upper Primary (UP) on 31 October (Sunday). In Barak Valley, the examination was conducted only in Cachar district. Candidates from Karimganj & Hailakandi district had to come to Cachar in order to appear in the examination. While travelling in a car from Achimganj in Karimganj district, a few TET candidates met with an accident.

As per reports, they were coming to Cachar district to appear in the examination. However, the driver of the car suddenly lost control and fell down in a gorge at Ranighat near Kumarpara at 5 in the morning. People from the neighbourhood reached the spot and helped them to come out of the car. The candidates inside the van sustained minor injuries. They were later on able to appear in the examination. Further details about the incident could not be ascertained till the filing of this report.
